Credentialing Manager

A top hospital in Philadelphia is hiring for a credentialing professional!

Job Summary:

• Credentialing: Collects, verifies, reviews and evaluates initial and biennial reappointment credentialing and privileging materials for all Medical Staff and Health Care Practitioners.
• Organizes, reviews and follows-up for initial and renewal of unrestricted medical licensure and DEA licensure for physicians and Health Care Professionals with the PA State Board of Medicine.
• Organizes and ensures that all files contain required documentation according to Joint Commission and other regulatory agency standards.
• Follows up with the appropriate departments, institutions and individuals to obtain required documentation and information.
• Reviews and updates licensure, certifications and insurance of the Medical and Professional Staff.
• Queries local, state and national regulatory agencies.
• Scans privileges to the intranet and ensures that the privileges are current.
• Acts as liaison between the State Board of Medicine regarding verification of practitioners' state licensure and as a resource to Medical and Professional Staff credentialing for other hospital departments and the community and outside hospitals.
• Organizes, compiles and maintains spreadsheets, databases, reports and privileges on Staff Physicians and Health Care Practitioners.
• May compile, prepare and distribute specialized lists containing information about the Medical Staff members and Health Care Practitioners.
• Determines project/assignment requirements by breaking them down into tasks and identifying types of equipment, materials, and people needed; develops timelines and milestones.
• Responds to inquiries and calls from physicians, hospital staff, outside vendors regarding the credentialing process.

Monday-Friday; first shift.
