Peraton is seeking a
Cyber Software Engineer (Entry-Level) in our
Annapolis Junction, Maryland location in support of a classified customer.
You will be responsible for software engineering, including, but not limited to: software design, development, testing, maintenance, integration and documentation on a Frameworks contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, test and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture
- Perform on-going security testing and code review to improve software security
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise
- Provide engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities
- Contribute to all levels of the architecture
- Maintain technical documentation
- Consult team members on secure coding practices
- Develop a familiarity with new tools and best practices
This position is on-site daily in our Annapolis Junction, MD location.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph.
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university.
- 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Have previous software engineering internship or work study experience.
- Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and concepts.
- Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player.
- A basic understanding of Object Oriented and Structured development methodologies.
- Experience with an object oriented programming language, such as Python, Java, C++.
Desired Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher out of 4.0.
- Intermediate Java experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
