What We Need:
A District Field Manager that directs activities of assigned staff within assigned specific geographic area to maximize volume profits & retail store execution within an assigned financial budget. Recommends new programs and procedures to enhance area sales & operations. Trains, teaches, coaches and develops assigned personnel to enhance performance, productivity, volume, retail execution, POG’s, resets, freezer/cooler assets and morale.
Essential Functions and Activities Associated with the Role:
1. Supervises activities of staff (Sales Representatives, Drivers) including analyzing daily routing, sales reports, personally observing store conditions, freezer/cooler equipment and trade relationships; accompanies sales personnel & or drivers on customer visits to improve their performance against retail execution performance targets, distribution goals, sales targets, speed to market on all new items and freezer asset management initiatives.
2. Meets all assigned Volume, Profit & Sales Execution Targets
3. Ensure that all sales/driver teams fully implements all account sales/promotional programs to maximize sales and return on freezer asset management.
4. Assigns sales/performance goals & sales execution targets, and tracks progress to ensure execution & performance on all programs & policies.
5. Analyses on a periodic basis, retail execution and sales opportunities and competitive activity within the Area or with individual accounts; recommends solutions to VP Sales, Region Field Managers & Region Sales Staff.
6. Conducts periodic meetings with all Sales/Driver teams in the district to present promotion activity, new product introductions, execution objectives, improved selling/delivery techniques and sales aids. Teams with Region Field Manger, Region Sales Staff to present programs & objectives and follows up on key account execution performance freezer asset management.
7. Recruits, trains, coaches and develops sales/driver personnel within Area; prepares performance evaluations and development programs for all supervised personnel.
8. Selects and develops candidates for potential promotion; directs the execution of individualized development programs for personnel operating below standards.
9. Promotes practices that result in all sales/driver personnel conducting themselves in a manner that promotes safety.
10. Works with respective teams to insure that all D.O.T. and Safety requirements & regulations are being followed.
11. Develop a working and team relationship with the respective Region Field team members in order to accomplish mutually relating goals & objectives.
12. Performs other work related duties as assigned
What You Need:
0-4 years college
Relevant experience / skills:
· Sales Selling and Merchandising/Ops experience - industry/category knowledge preferred, Direct Store Delivery experience or working knowledge
· 5-8 years Sales/Ops management experience – Impulse, grocery/food service preferred
· Knowledge of account territory - need to have Sales/Ops experience in territory.
· PC literate, Microsoft Office, must have PC or tablet accessibility
