Although located at SEWS – Farmington Hills, Michigan Office, this is a flexible Work From Home position, which means an associate has the flexibility to work from home, but is expected to report to the local office as needed or required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate and understand customer demands of future architecture, and share the essential information with team in US as well as supporting organization in Japan, mainly counterpart is ANTech Japan.
• Represent SEWS to customers, suppliers and internal groups in US and Japan for engineering activities.
• Primary Point of Contact to respond to customer technical and product realization requirements for High speed production such a Coax, Ethernet.
• Responsible to lead ABD New Technology Development engineering team, set work priorities, facilitate work, perform assigned team member appraisals and recommendations for training and development.
• Communication bridge among SEWS, manufacturing plants and development teams in Japan in order to make progress for new customer technology harness deployment.
• Domestic and international business travel required to support work activities with Sumitomo Japan, customers, manufacturing plants and suppliers.
• Coordinate with Sales, Business Planning, Cost Estimating, Procurement and other Departments as necessary for commercial program activities.
• Conduct routine and monthly status reviews with Stakeholders, leadership management to ensure deliverables are completed to plan. Facilitate issue solutions to overcome obstacles and meet project timely completion.
• Other duties and responsibilities that may be identified and assigned by management at times.
• When the project will proceed real business stage, oversee documentation of the customer process requirements and work with SEWS teams to incorporate into the APQP plan. (may develop the SmartSheet MPP for new project)

Qualifications:

• 4 year BSEE/BSME/BSBA or equivalent degree.
• 8-10 years progressive experience including 2-4 years in middle management supervisory role.
• 3 to 5 years experience in Automotive EDS (W/H, ECU, etc.), High Voltage, Low Voltage and High Speed System understanding as circuits schematic level desirable.
• Experience managing a high performance team with a wide range of knowledge and responsibilities.
• Good communication skills, adaptable to address diverse tasks and motivated to accomplish new challenges.
• Strong customer interface skills. Have expert knowledge of automotive development process and new product launch.
