Engineering Technician

Masis Professional Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for our well established client in Pittsburg, KS. The Engineering Technician is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process to allow operation at the highest standard of safety, quality
and efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing policies, standards and procedures for the Engineering and Production Departments.
  • Develop and document detailed manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving issues as related to machining processes.
  • Design, build and develop tooling, fixturing and CNC programs (CAD/CAM software)
  • Assist in analyzing, designing, implementing and maintaining systems that nurture a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in managing and facilitating ISO 9001 QMS.
  • Assist with analyzing non-conforming parts for rework/disposition/process adjustment and document counts.
  • Participate in new business quoting, design review, quality planning and corrective action measures.
  • Assist in assuring company compliance of applicable environmental and safety regulations.
  • Manage CNC program files.
  • Technical development of Production staff.

Qualifications/Education:

  • GED or High School diploma
  • CNC Machine Shop: 5 years experience preferred
  • 2 years experience with 3D Modeling Software preferred.
  • CAD/CAM 1 year experience preferred
  • CNC Programming 2+ years experience preferred
  • Work holding and fixture design 2+ years experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
