Required Skills:

• Skillset of working with hand and power tools including but not limited to: pipe threading machines, band saws and measuring devices.
• Safety conscious and familiar with OSHA.
• Familiar with common materials and tools associated with the mechanical marine construction industry.
• Effective customer service and communication skills.
• Detail oriented and strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Strong work ethic and integrity
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment..

Description:

• Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Assist pipefitter/technicians in daily job duties
• Exhibit excellent customer service
• Perform other duties assigned, including attending training classes
• Ability to lift and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to work well with others.

Other:

• MUST have minimum high school diploma/GED.
• MUST have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work a full time schedule
• Overtime maybe required with a short notice.
• Available to travel, which may include nights and weekends.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. No sponsorship is available for this position.
• Must be at least 18 years old or hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Must be able to pass background check
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
• Must have a smart phone capable of running time keeping applications.
• Salary for this position is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour.
• Work schedule is Monday thru Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm, overtime may be required depending on the circumstances and or scheduling of job tasks.
