Event Manager
Job description
We are a mobile coffee company based out of Jersey City, NJ and we're looking for a catering manager to join our small team. Ideal candidate is someone who is interested in starting from the ground and building a multifaceted coffee business. This is a big opportunity, and the right partner will be offered equity as they grow into the Operation Lead.
Shifts are on a demand basis and can be any time between morning to night. Shifts are typically 6 hours long. You can expect between 4 and 6 events a month. Every event will need inventory and stocking. The manager can expect between 15-40 hours a week.
Who we are:
We started out as a specialty coffee shop on wheels. Serving third-wave coffee to the masses. Since launching in 2020, we've leaned 100% into catering. We work with a host of universities, schools, production companies, event planners, and businesses and cater a host of events. From breakfast to dessert.
Our operation has 3 different set ups: A mobile trailer, bar, and table. Each are designed for different uses, different events, and to serve different amounts of people.
Who you are:
Your schedule is flexible but you love coffee and have ample experience managing catering operations. Your attention for detail is rigged. You're a problem solver. A go getter. Someone who's hungry for more.
You love the event space, and don't mind sacrificing a weekend to throw down an awesome event. You're humble and willing to learn new things. You're ready and eager to help this company scale.
Responsibilities:

*Operate as the manager at our numerous events *Conduct and log inventory before events *Learn to drive the trailer (must have license) *Help us create our event menus, proposing new drinks and toppers *Iron out a strong opening, closing, and transit layout to maximize our mobile vehicle *Train employees and monitor operations to ensure customers expectations are exceeded *Schedule, supervise and train baristas *Manage event planners and vendor services to maintain appropriate quantities and quality of product *Budget and monitor inventory, labor and restaurant costs in relations to the event and back of house *Learn how to work with our generators and take proper upkeep *Implement health and safety protocols *Eventually, learn how to drive the trailer
Qualifications

*Previous managerial catering experience *Must have license and be willing to drive the trailer after a 4 hour training session *Added bonus for food truck experience *Added bonus if you have a coffee experience (not required) *High School Diploma or equivalent *Strong leadership skills
