*Job Summary:*
Able to conduct minor repairs to the facilities and premises as assigned including painting, patching, office and kitchen equipment, minor electrical, furniture, walls, ceiling tiles, carpeting, floor tiles.
- Having basic HVAC knowledge is a plus.
- maintain and repair Lab research equipment, including freezers, ovens, vacuum ovens, 3D printing testbeds, electrical microscopes, glove boxes, mask aligners, e-beam evaporator, scanning electron microscopes (SEM), ellipsometer, profilometer, chemical and solvent benches, biosafety cabinets and CO2 incubators.
- Performs as-needed cleaning of the facility and premises including any spills on a daily basis beyond the regular custodial services performed by the cleaning staff including trash/debris removal, emptying receptacles, mopping and drying
- Under the direction and supervision of a skilled worker, may conduct minor repairs to the facilities and premises as assigned including painting, patching, office and kitchen equipment, furniture, walls, ceiling tiles, carpeting, floor tiles
- Conducts physical inspections of the facility, grounds, premises, hallways, common areas, restrooms, noting anything that might be in need of repair, maintenance, clean-up, or is a hazard and reports same to the appropriate building staff for resolution
- Moderate amount of travel
- Performs move coordination services in conjunction with MAC Planner including (but not limited too) reconfigurations, ergonomic adjustments, equipment installations, equipment relocations
- Wear and use the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and the assigned uniform correctly at all times while on duty.
- Experience on stripping and waxing floors. Background check and drug testing is required.
- This position benefits from a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
- Have to be available to work weekends if necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for emergency maintenance service as scheduled
- Maintenance to include changing lights bulbs, light plumbing, etc.
- Complete work assignments in a timely manner
- Trash pickup outside of building and parking lot
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment on property, if assigned
- Use and maintain equipment properly
- Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
- Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
- Ability to work without normal supervision
- Reports safety hazards as appropriate
- Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow
- employees
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Minimum of (1) year commercial related experience
- Strong communication skills
- Must be willing to work assigned hours
Schedule: Monday-Friday 5am-2:30pm*
