Job description
Our law group is growing and we are looking for a sharp attorney who will zealously represent our clients in all areas of family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child support, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Compensation:$55,000 - $70,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
- Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
- Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
- Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
- Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
The right candidate meets all of the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
- Georgia Bar License in Good Standing
- Organized and deadline-driven
- Ability to find creative solutions
- Proficient in Word and Legal Research
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
