Framing Coordinator

Mitsui Home Canada is a turnkey construction framing provider which integrates, building components (wall panels, stairs, and floors), design, materials, logistics and on-site framing. We have two building components facilities, Mitsui Home Canada in Langley B.C., and Mitsui Home America in Lodi California. Our unique integrated system allows for outstanding quality, quick delivery of the framing package, most effect use of material, and the most efficient use of on-site labour. Our strong design process pre-emptively solves project challenges at an earlier stage and therefore reduces on site problems and leads to reduced framing time.
In 2005, we started our construction business in the Canadian market and in 2017 purchased the site in Lodi California to spearhead our expansion through North America.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team and help further our expansion.

1. Framing Coordinator:
This person will report to the Production and Technology General Manger, be able to work independently and represent the Mitsui Home Canada brand on site. They must have a good working knowledge of multi-family wooden construction, building codes, and job site safety requirements. Also they should have strong interpersonal skills and work well with other trades and subcontractors, engineers, architects, and developers.

2. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Minimum 3 years direct on-site multifamily residential construction experience is preferred
• Excellent organization and project management skills
• Excellent ability to problem solve, have attention to detail, strong prioritization skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external customers
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural plans and follow scopes and specifications
• Ability to use technology and have experience with construction management tools
• Construction training and education to complement experience is preferred
• Ability to traverse a residential construction job site (lift 50 lbs, climbing etc.)
• Ability to use residential construction tools

3. The Duties Are:

• Responsible for overall management of company assigned construction sites, including project initiation, scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance to finishing, and project closeout.
• Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules.
• Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors.
• Provide layout and direction for all new builds to framing subcontractors.
• Implement safety control methods on sites, always ensure site safety and compliance with WorkSafe regulations.
• Develop quality assurance standards, ensure project is completed within schedule and with high quality.
• Responsible for all jobsite related purchasing including building materials, sub-trades etc., ensure spending is responsible and within budget.
• Inspect projects for level of completion and prepare project progression reports of company and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, customers, subtrades and key team members of the project.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
