The IT Solutions Engineer will leverage their technical skills to develop a robust IT infrastructure for the business. They will advance stakeholder interests by accurately gathering requirements, evaluating technologies, deploying solutions, and owning outcomes. Additionally, the IT Solutions Engineer will drive consistent and sustainable technical excellence by judiciously advancing documentation, procedures, and asset management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Advocate for technical excellence and champion improvements

Deploy global IT solutions

Respond to service incidents and fulfill service requests within defined SLAs
-
Maintain/Patch/Upgrade global infrastructure
-
Create/Maintain/Socialize documentation, procedures, and comprehensive asset management

Create/Maintain/Socialize automation and orchestration technologies
-
Complete administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
-
Required: 2-5 years of work experience in a systems engineering role
-
3+ years of relevant work experience or bachelor’s degreee
Skills:
-
Expert knowledge of at least one operating system family (Windows, Linux, or Unix) and specialist knowledge of infrastructure practices at scale
-
Expert knowledge/skills in diverse core technology components
-
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals such as ethernet, IP(4/6), ICMP, TCP, UDP, WinRM, SSH, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, VNC, and RDP
-
Excellent command line skills with an affinity for automation

Process: ITIL, KCS, A4,

Automation: PowerShell, Bash/Python, MECM/MEM, Ansible, Terraform

High Availability: Windows Clustering, Unix/Linux Clustering, LoadBalancers, VRRP, (i/e)BGP, OSPF

Foundational: Veeam Backup, MS Active Directory, MS Azure AD, MS PKI, MS O365, MS SQL, MS File/Print, MS DFSN/DFSR, Docker/Podman

Infrastructure Platforms: VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon, AWS, Azure

Hardware: APC/Eaton UPS, Dell Servers, NetApp/PureStorage SANs (iSCSI), Cisco/Juniper Switching, Meraki/Juniper APs, Cisco/PaloAlto Firewalls

Strong organizational skills such as time management, task prioritization, and delegation

Effective data-gathering, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills

Proficient customer service skills

Competence in deploying diverse enterprise applications
