We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Lead for our operations in Whitmire, SC. This role directs and coordinates activities of vendors and workers engaged in repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment; and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of industrial plant or other establishment by performing the following duties personally or through peers:

Principal Responsibilities:
- Manages maintenance work requests, determines priority and assigns appropriate resource.
- Ensures team members comply with all safety, environmental and manufacturing practices.
- Communicates to production and quality assurance equipment break downs and estimated time need to complete repairs.
- Confers with venders, management and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measure to improve operation and conditions of machine and equipment.
- Documents and reports maintenance work performed and advises of future requirements in a timely manner.
- Inspects, services, repairs and constructs plant processing equipment, including structures, utilities, loaders, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, mechanical, and pressure vessel work throughout the plant.
- Performs the preventative maintenance program established by the Company.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment and machinery.
- Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
- Participates and contributes to company safety program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: One year certificate from college or technical school
- Experience: Three years' industrial maintenance experience
- License/Certification: N/A
- Experience in hydraulics, electrical, pumps, valves, welding
- Excellent trouble shooting skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge in wood industry preferred
- Experience in fabrication and welding of various metals (including pipe welding)
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to read schematics and electrical drawings
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with peers
- Strong communication skills
