We are currently seeking an organized and approachable Lead X-Ray Technologist to join the team. This is a four or five day permanent position.

Job Duties/responsibilities:

In addition to performing General Radiography exams at both the Oakridge Mall and 5732 Victoria Drive clinics, the Head Technologist will:

• Lead the team of x-ray techs to ensure the smooth operation of the X-Ray Department in collaboration with the Chief Operations Officer
• Ensure maintenance of imaging protocols, and department standards and notify staff of new or revised department policies, procedures, and activities
• Schedule Technologists and monitor daily workload
• Recruit, hire, and evaluate new X-Ray Technologists in collaboration with the Chief Operations Officer
• Provide ongoing training/development to X-Ray Technologists
• Oversee QC of equipment and schedule maintenance/service of X-Ray equipment
• Work with the Chief Operations Officer to complete, pass and maintain DAP accreditation

Desired Skills and Experience

• Current active registration in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to relate in a respectful, tactful and sensitive manner with Patients, Staff, and Physicians
• Previous management experience would be considered an asset
