Maintenance Worker

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr


Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

This is a skilled maintenance and repair position responsible to perform various tasks throughout the Philadelphia area. The employee works in a variety of trades to help maintain and upkeep the Barber National Institute's facilities, which include a day program and group homes. Responsibilities require experience with plumbing, drywall repair, light carpentry, and electrical work.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Worker include:

  • Planning and developing carpentry projects including wood repair, door, window, and cabinet repair.
  • Completing plumbing repairs and renovations
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance
  • Completing work and repair orders in a timely fashion

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. or more
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI clearance is required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements
