Comprehensive Nursing Services, Inc. / Comprehensive Home Health Services is currently hiring RN's for Maternal Newborn Intermittent Home Care visits. We are looking for RN's to make home healthcare visits throughout the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Enjoy a PRN position, with flexible scheduling and no holidays required, while reaching out to the community with direct patient care.

Counties we service:

Worcester, Wicomico, Somerset, Dorchester, Talbot, Salisbury, Pocomoke, Easton, Cambridge, and surrounding towns and rural areas.

Job Responsibilities:

Maternal/ Newborn assessments

• Visit families at that critical first home visit after discharge from the hospital.
• Support families by conducting Maternal/Newborn assessments including bili draws and weight checks, providing parent education in the areas of postpartum/newborn care, breastfeeding, parent-infant bonding, home safety and other maternal and child health related concerns.
• Help identify client strengths, needs, barriers and risks and provide community resources for those needs, and provide emotional support and feedback when working with new moms, infants and family members.

Job Requirements:

• Home Care Experience is a plus
• At least two years experience in NICU, Labor & Delivery, or Pediatrics
• Advance Nursing Skills - G/Tube, Mickey and Trach Experience (not required for Maternal/Newborn)
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with families/caregivers and medical providers
• Must have own transportation with valid driver's license
• Active/unrestricted Nursing License in the State of Maryland - Registered Nurse
• Valid CPR/BLS
