GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sports Marketing Strategy & Activation Senior Manager is a key role who drives a combination of global sports marketing strategy, operations, planning and activation activity. In partnership with Global Sports Marketing, the key regions and Global Brand teams, develops and builds Oakley’s brand equity with a diverse set of consumers, seeking opportunities in emerging sports & sport culture, while maintaining deep connections to our global core sports.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives the athlete specific strategy, planning and calendarization alignment with the Oakley Global brand vision and SM playbook to activate our portfolio
  • Implements sport strategy globally for assigned category; examples include partnerships (ie: NFL, Mugello), calendarization, operations and planning with cross functional teams
  • Manages the seeding strategy for SM aligning with all our vertical leaders and aligns forecasting and execution efforts to ensure that our athletes receive their product in time to activate
  • Develops activation planning across community, product, commercial and comms cross functional teams and processes for our key athletes
  • Partners with the vertical leaders and managers on strategic planning needs across the org
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Events team on opportunities that align with sport contract/s
  • Partners with product marketing, product strategy and Milan brand team to coordinate cross functional meetings and dates and gates and any documentation needed to execute
  • Drives the signature product project management process and all alignment meetings, deliverables across the organization
  • Supports team on all athlete visits, trips and SM team offsites, planning, operations, programming and deliverables to insure a smooth production


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, strategy or related field
  • 8+ years relevant experience
  • Strong Marketing understanding (sports, entertainment, and/or brand with proven project management experience
  • Marketing, people, and project management experience within the industry
  • Strong coordination skills to lead/manage complex productions plans & executions as well as a complex global organization structure
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and remain deadline-oriented
  • Effective communication, presentation and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Keynote, Deck building Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments collaboratively
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Self-starter attitude with a global mindset with ability to work both autonomously and proactively
  • Ability to liaise with partners (internal and external) in multi regions, countries, time zones while still delivering quality work on deadlines


PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree in Sports Marketing or related degree
  • Experience working in the sports or entertainment industry
  • Passion for sports, entertainment and culture
