The Holiday Inn Express Bloomington is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of shuttle driver. Tips are included in this position. Our location is great! Next to the Mall of America and the MSP Airport.

The main responsibilities of this position include: To provide excellent service to guests while operating a passenger vehicle (van or shuttle bus) safely and efficiently as well as provide added security and help housekeeping by changing loads of laundry.

Please note: ***The working schedule is solely based upon the needs of the hotel business, meaning that the hours worked are directly affected by the hotel’s occupancy. ***

Essential Duties

1. Provide a welcoming environment before, during, and after transportation for guests to and from the hotel which includes:

Greet and acknowledge guests at arrival and departure of vehicle.

Provide assistance with boarding or exiting the vehicle.

Load and unload guest luggage.

Maintain a comfortable temperature in route.

Maintain specified radio station en route.

Ensure radio communications are in good working order.

Provide guests and passengers with appropriate information regarding hotel amenities and services, entertainment, and local attractions within area.

2. Process all incoming radio communication ensuring professional and accurate radio etiquette.

3. Comprehend and abide by all traffic regulations while transporting customers to and from the airport terminal or other designated site.

4. Maintain knowledge of hotel services and features and knowledge of the surrounding area including routine pick- up and drop-off destinations

5. Ensure all pick-up and drop-off times are efficient and punctual

6. Inspect exterior and interior of vehicle at beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior courtesy lamps, air-conditioning or heating, warning lamps, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, vehicle damage, etc. prior to moving vehicle.

7. Ensure inside and outside of vehicle are properly cleaned and fueled on an ongoing basis.

8. Keep interior of vehicle neat and clean.

9. Monitor vehicle condition and records and reports malfunctioning items or damage

10. Monitor traffic and weather conditions and notifies management of potential problems.

11. Report accidents or other safety situations to management immediately.

12. Maintain a clear drive-up/drop off area.

13. Clean hotel entrance, valet stand, and luggage carts as needed.

14. Complete checklists, forms, logs, and reports accurately and on time as required by state and local law.

15. Attend required meetings and pre-shift meetings.

16. Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other departments.

17. Provide security for guests, employees, and property.

18. Adhering to security procedures for guest room keys and master keys.

19. Understanding all hotel emergency procedures.

20. Reporting any suspicious activity to management.

21. Performs all other duties assigned.
