Serves as shift lead in Client Services, monitoring daily colleague performance and workflow. Performs phlebotomy on all ages and acuity levels using established procedures and safety devices. Ensures accurate specimen identification and integrity. Understands specimen requirements and determines appropriateness of specimens received. Responsible for reporting patients’ results to the appropriate clients by charting, telephone, facsimile machine, modem, or computer. Responsible for ensuring accurate patient demographic and insurance information input. Responsible for daily billing operations. Responsible for sending specimens to and receiving results from reference laboratories. Performs reception and general clerical duties for the laboratory. Maintains supply inventory. Assists and provides information to outreach locations. Assists the Client Services Supervisor, Med Lab Manager (JC: 023601) and other Laboratory Services staff members (as needed).
Qualifications:
Two (2) years of job-related experience (including phlebotomy)
License
:
Valid state driver license. NOTE: Incumbent operates a Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) vehicle and requires a valid state driver license. Required to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience. Required to provide a seven (7)-year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to employment. Will have received no more than two (2) minor violations in the past three (3) years and zero (0) major violations in the past five (5) years.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS. Three (3) years of job-related experience (including phlebotomy and lead or supervisory experience)
