We are looking for an experienced Piping Superintendent to join our team. Once the project starts, safety is a primary concern of all field personnel at Mullins, and Supers are the leaders for ensuring all of Mullins’ and Client’s/Owner’s safety policies and procedures are enforced and maintained every day on every site. They will ensure Mullins Safety Analyses (MSAs) are completed and reviewed as needed, unless a client’s form meets or exceeds information requested on the MSA. The Super will also conduct weekly toolbox talks and submit sign-in sheets for those meetings to the PM.

Should a safety incident occur on the jobsite, the Super is responsible for reporting, completing all Incident Report Forms, and submitting the forms to the PM, Safety Manager and Human Resources. It is essential that the forms be completed on the day of the incident and include a detailed description of the nature and events that led up to the incident. When applicable, the Super will assist the PM in gathering potential claim documentation.

Should a quality control incident occur on the jobsite, the Super will submit a detailed Quality Incident Report to the PM on the day the incident happened.

Schedule
The Super is responsible for managing the project schedule collaboratively with the Project Manager/Foreman. When project delays or issues occur, the Super will work with the PM to ensure proper notification is made and that all impacts to the construction schedule are documented. When opportunities are developed to accelerate the schedule, the Super will collaborate with the PM, subcontractors and the Owner on impact to the project and obtain approval to proceed.
The Super will also develop a two-week look ahead schedule for the project.

Logistics
Superintendents are responsible for managing project deliveries, logistics and coordinating with the Owner/General Contractor and other subcontractors to ensure there are adequate laydown and staging areas for materials and prefabrication at the jobsite.

Materials/Tools

The Super will ensure all tools and equipment are delivered to the jobsite according to schedule and are removed from the jobsite when the tool is no longer needed or the project is complete. The Super is also responsible for maintaining and periodically checking calibration of any tools or equipment provided by Mullins to their jobsite, both owned and rented.

Equipment
The confirmation of the proper installation of all equipment on a project is the responsibility of the Super.

Daily Reports/ Weekly Meetings
Superintendents must possess solid communication skills and be able to use current technology (mobile apps, email, etc.) to track and distribute information on construction projects. Daily reports must be completed and properly saved for each project.
Additionally, the Super is also responsible for organizing and leading a weekly project meeting with Mullins’ Foremen and subcontractors’ field supervision to track progress and hold them accountable for their production and performance.

Reporting
Upon Request, the Super will assist the PM or Senior Superintendent in creating monthly job cost updates, forecasts and billing.

Closeout
Once a project is closed out, the Super attends the close-out meeting with the President, Chief Operations Officer, Estimation, Project Management, Quality Control Manager, and Safety Manager to document and share lessons learned to assist in the planning and execution of future projects.
