Production Assistant

Facility: CannaCure Corporation, subsidiary of Heritage Cannabis Holdings Corp.
Location: Fort Erie, ON
Type: Full-time
Start Date: To be determined
Start Wage: $18.50 per hour
Reports To: Production Manager or Shift Supervisor

Position Summary

The Production Assistant will provide on-going support throughout the Production process. They will assist in all manner of manufacturing, extraction, fulfillment, and packaging functions.

Job Duties

• Assist with extraction duties related to processing of raw material such as packing the extractors, running the extraction machines, daily cleaning and maintenance
• Assist with packaging duties such as labelling, capping, applying stickers and shipping of product
• Assist with duties relating to Cannabis 365 Enterprise Resource Planning software such as data collection and labelling batch records
• Promote & maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sterility inside the production area and facility by routinely cleaning and sterilizing equipment, including glassware and tools, components and infrastructure
• Maintain batch production records in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS)
• Ensure compliance with safe work practices, Standard Operating Procedures and all applicable regulations
• Maintain a positive, collaborative attitude
• Promote and encourage teamwork and open communication
• Communicate production updates and issues to Management on a timely basis
• Communicate complex issues to Management for immediate resolution
• Show respect and care for tools, technical equipment, and production facility
• Work cohesively in a group or independently as required
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

• Previous experience and knowledge of Cannabis industry production practices is an asset
• High school diploma
• Clean criminal record
• Must be fluent in both spoken and written English
• Demonstrate necessary comprehension of mathematics
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player with a collaborative attitude able to work cohesively in a group or independently as required

Working Conditions

• Shift work will be required, which could include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Working in a cannabis facility may trigger those with allergies, asthma, or sensitivities to odour
• PPE Required: Masks, scrubs, gloves, hairnets, and safety shoes

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for long periods of time
• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• The ability to lift approximately 20 pounds
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
