Key Job Responsibilities:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for increasing Home Health and Hospice admissions by effectively managing and driving the productivity of a team of Patient Care Coordinators who are responsible for establishing and maintaining positive referral relationships with customers and referral sources. In addition, the Regional Sales Manager will represent The Care Team and its services in a competent, professional, ethical, and responsive manner.


Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Patient Care Coordinators, including hiring, training, managing workloads, schedules, and deadlines
  • Responsible for the promotion, referral base, and sales of care services within the assigned regional territory through the management of a team of Patient Care Coordinators
  • Implement and conduct the orientation program for new sales employees
  • Track all business development activities
  • Perform field assessments of the sales team
  • Ensure the delivery of short and long-term sales goals through individual recognition, performance review, people management, and reward
  • Manage Sales/Marketing objectives and projections
  • Plan for the achievement of targets in alignment with the strategies and policies of the company
  • Analyze teams trends and results and develop and implement sales action plans and market strategies to facilitate the implementation of the company's sales initiatives
  • Analyze regional areas of responsibility to determine growth opportunities for Home Health and Hospice
  • Monitor community, customer, and patient perceptions of The Care Team as a high-quality provider of services
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and assess the quality of the company's relationship with them
  • Recommend service and product enhancement to improve the sales potential and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain the agency's mission, philosophy, and core values
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies, and establishing personal networks
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations/processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety, and emergency management
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures regarding infection prevention, control, standard precautions, and infection identification reporting
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations


  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and presentation skills

  • Strong technical skills are a must
  • Experience with Trella, Home Care Home Base, and RLS a plus
  • Team player comfortable with implementing new processes and positively spearheading culture change that may come with these changes
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of all market segments relative to key referral sources and competitors' market positioning

Regulatory Requirements

  • Must pass a criminal background check & MVR check
  • Completed health statement acknowledging ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Proof of current automobile insurance

Experience:

  • Three to five years of medical sales and marketing experience preferably in the geographical market of employment
  • Proven experience in sales management
  • Bachelors degree preferred
