What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for the timely delivery of high-quality technical solutions that drive key business strategies. The PM leads a cross functional development team through all phases of the development process, from discovery, through development, to deployment.
- Coordinate/conduct business process and requirements workshop, design workshop, gate reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR, ORR).
- Responsible for managing project schedule, planning tasks, assigning resources to the tasks, and monitoring and tracking progress against plan across multiple teams.
- Manage backlog, gap analysis, configuration, development, user training, testing, GoLive and post release activities.
- Single point of contact to the client leadership. Liaise between process, functional and technical teams.
- Perform project reviews, project reporting, strategic project planning, issues, and risk mitigation activities.
- Responsible for delivering contractual requirements, alerting leadership as needed to mitigate risks, and preparing status reports for the internal leadership.
- Mentor and guide team members as they prepare project deliverables and resolve project issues.
- Support resolving complex issues, tactical assignments to ensure client satisfaction.
- Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs.
- Work with client and other consulting counterparts at the leadership level to meet project and corporate objectives.
- Communicate and support Groundswell company policies and procedures.
Who We are Looking For:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated SAP Technical Project Manager to oversee the technical aspects of SAP application implementation and integration for a Department of Defense (DOD) customer project. As the SAP Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all technical aspects of the project related to SAP applications comply with DOD quality standards and contractual requirements, and that project deliverables meet customer expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship required (must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance)
- Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) quality standards and contractual requirements related to SAP applications.
- Experience in SAP technical implementation and integration, preferably in a defense or government contracting environment.
- Must hold a Project or Program Management certification (i.e., Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other equivalent/recognized Project or Program Management certification); Project or Program Management certifications from accredited institutions are required. Examples from government and commercial sources include, but are not limited to the Defense Acquisition School, The Program Management Institute, Department of Veterans Affairs as well as Universities and Schools. Substitutes for a Project or Program Management Certification such as training, degrees or relevant experience, will be considered and must clearly state how the credentials are equivalent to the certifications.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Must have 5 years of experience in project management of SAP implementation experience using agile methodologies.
- Must have 10 years of experience leading teams/people with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields.
- Must have experience with the Information Technology Acquisition process and its milestones.
- Must have experience in analyzing a variety of source documentation and supporting the creation of acquisition documentation.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in high complexity problem solving and provide demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
- Foster speed to value by scoping minimally viable products.
- Experience working with the Department of Defense or other Federal Agencies
- Active DOD Secret clearance

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,997 - $187,527.
