Senior IT Project Manager
Reports to: GDD&T Program Delivery Lead
Location: US Hybrid/Remote

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:

OBJECTIVES:

• Leads and manages project to redesign and deploy large, complex, commercial/customer-facing corporate website. This role coordinates, supports, and assists all aspects of a large, complex, cross-functional, and/or global project from concept through the implementation and adoption, ensuring governance process adherence, project continuity, and stakeholder management.
• Working/coordinating across time zones with cross-functional teams
• Develops project budgets and is responsible for performance against financial parameters and monitoring and reporting on projects.
• Drives business value by engaging all stakeholders to help identify and prioritize solutions, and by collaborating across departments to deliver multiple complex projects with significant business impact.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Manage all aspects of complex global IT projects or programs, including meeting objectives and targeted outcomes, monitoring scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, costs, and benefits/realized value through lifecycle.
• Lead governance structures and processes to drive and manage the project. Manage implementation of project management methodology and governance tools. Drive projects through project governance methodology and ensure compliance to standards.
• Partner with project owner and delivery teams to develop project budget. Responsible for performance against financial parameters and monitoring, tracking spending, completing accurate project financial forecasts on schedule, work performed reporting.
• Identify and highlight risks and issues within the project and escalate appropriately. Devise effective mitigation and escalation strategies for projects to address risks and issues. Document and track changes and decisions, creating and leading project change request process as appropriate.
• Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to report status (project performance), manage and mitigate risk, manage and escalate issues, and adherence to the project budget.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with project stakeholders: sponsors, project team, customers, vendors, and suppliers. Manage key stakeholder and project manager commitment levels and communication. Engage Organization Change Management to help drive adoption and change.
• Create and maintain project artifacts, such as project plans, project schedules, KPI measurements, risk, issue and change logs, team and stakeholder communications, status reports, and resource and time management.
• Participate in project procurement including RFPs, vendor proposal evaluations, quotes, SOW/contract formation, purchase order creation, and delivery tracking.
• Ensure projects comply with IT Governance and regulatory policies, procedures, and standards.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:

• Experience with planning and managing all phases of complex IT projects including project initiation and organization - establishing scope, objectives, target outcomes, budget, governance model, resource planning, etc., and project execution – requirements analysis, use case analysis, design, configuration, development, technology selection, testing, data transformation, implementation planning, training, financial management, schedule management, organization change management, and application support required.
• Experience managing projects delivering commercial/customer-facing websites, including:

o Understanding Web development processes, CMS platforms, and website testing practices.
o UX, IA, and web design management experience including web usability and working with third party design agencies.
o Exposure to Corporate marketing activities, working with brand guidelines, content planning and CMLR approvals for digital content.
o Understanding of website accessibility, SEO, URL redirects, and site-search experiences.
o Working with multi-lingual content and global website features, nonstandard character sets, and translated content.

• Experience managing iterative/incremental framework IT projects required.
• Experience with Agile framework (scrum and Kanban) preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of IT experience with bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a master’s degree.
• Minimum 4 years of experience leading medium and large IT business applications software development projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
• Experience with PPM tools such as Clarity, Planview, Daptiv, Projects-Online preferred.
• Intermediate level user experience with project scheduling and task management tools, specifically, MS-Project or Jira required.
• Ability to write and speak proficiently in the English language.
• Pharmaceutical, medical device, or other life sciences industry experience for knowledge of validated systems standards strongly preferred.
• Certified project management professional (e.g., PMP, Prince 2, OPM) preferred.
