Culligan of West Texas (Midland) is looking for a self-motivated, results oriented individual to join our Career Development Program where you will learn to service and install water softeners, reverse osmosis systems and other Culligan products. You will receive extensive hands-on training that will set you up for a successful and lucrative career as a Service Technician. No experience in the plumbing field is required. We do require some mechanical aptitude, a positive attitude and a strong customer service background. The ability to communicate effectively with our customers is essential for this position.

The success and growth of our organization depends on knowledgeable and skilled Service Technician’s.

• Locate sources of problems by observing and testing systems operation. Uses precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling equipment; using hand and power tools; replace defective parts and test for proper operation.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies on truck by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Provide system information to customers by answering maintenance questions and educating customer on product.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing daily, weekly & monthly goals.
• Assure service vehicle is clean, safe and in proper operation condition always.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift 100 lbs.
• Pass drug screening and if a transfer of position has been made you will not be required to complete a new one

Preferred Skills

• Basic plumbing and electrical experience.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willing to work long hours.
• Excels at operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
