MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

Position represents test engineering throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. Position contributes to both the product development but also to the SDLC Agile process. Position requires following procedures and processes for both software quality and compliance. Position requires onsite presence. Experience testing with medical devices and diabetes care industry strongly preferred.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Complete software testing and activities for development user stories within an Agile SDLC process

2. Review System Specifications/Requirements documents, user stories and create verification test cases (based on those requirements), and execute test cases.

3. Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs. Verify fixes

4. Perform exploratory testing, system level end to end testing, develop test datasets and execute automation scripts (to ensure application software releases are of high quality)

5. Create verification and validation test plans, test reports, trace matrices and review with relevant stakeholders (dev and quality)

6. Review deliverables/activities as identified in the test plans for accuracy, consistency, completeness and compliance. Ensure adequate test coverage for every release

7. Review code diff analysis and develop robust regression test strategy

8. Mentor and provide day to day guidance to the junior members of the software test team. Review work to ensure compliance and quality

9. Provide feedback and suggest improvements to the Agile SDLC process

10. Manage test team devices inventory

QUALIFICATIONS and Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (or an Associates Degree AND equivalent experience).

Minimum 5 years both overall and any industry-specific experience needed

Minimum 2 years of Software Quality Assurance in a regulated industry is required.

Moderate knowledge in modern programming languages such as Java or Python & Agile methodologies.

Moderate level of understanding of test-driven methodologies.

Moderate level of knowledge with continuous integration & continuous development (CI/CD).

Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Moderate level understanding of design patterns.

Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

The salary for this role is between $82,100 – $164,100
