The Shipping coordinator will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of Shipping, Receiving and Inventory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

SHIPPING

  • Inform the customer when the order is ready for pickup and provide packaging details such as number of crates, crate dimensions, type of truck required for pickup
  • Book an appointment for the customer to pickup or book transportation for our truck to deliver to customer's facility
  • Notify the production team of all pickup and drop off details
  • Receive details of all items in each crate and you will be required to create a packing slip from that information in a short span of time
  • Verify system information before creation of packing slip in order to ship product correctly. Coordinate with the production clerk as required to update or modify shipment data
  • Review the production order and co-ordinate with the production team to ensure that the correct parts are going to the correct locations and are packaged according to customer requirements
  • Identify parts and verify against attached documents to ensure correctness of shipments
  • Be responsible for shipping to customers both domestic and international
  • Create and prepare shipping documents (domestic/international) BOL, Commercial Invoice and packing slips
  • Make proper NAFTA declarations on the products
  • Liaise with all courier, freight, and brokerage service providers on the shipping and receiving needs of the business
  • Expedite, reroute shipments, and resolve shipment discrepancies
  • Resolve customer concerns regarding incorrect shipments and/or missing documentation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be very organized and be able to work under pressure as this is a very fast paced environment
  • Proficiency in Excel with ability to filter and manipulate data (you will be tested during the interview)
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers verbally and through email
  • Must be extremely detail oriented

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Willing to train the right candidate even without any previous shipping experience

Previous bookkeeping experience or any detail oriented job experience is considered an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Woodbridge, ON L4L 5Y6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

  • Microsoft Excel (basic formulas and filtering): 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative: 1 year (preferred)
  • Shipping & receiving: 1 year (preferred)
