Position Focus:
Job Responsibilities: Assist with the build, configuration, and documentation of IT infrastructure. Maintain and support IT infrastructure, ensuring adherence to standards and service level objectives. Monitor and troubleshoot IT infrastructure. Analyze and report on performance metrics. Implement and support robust and secure IT solutions. Serve as a technical liaison; support & collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to development & implementation of best practices. Learn to use Infrastructure as code (IaaC) to provision accounts and deploy resources in cloud environments. Assist in managing cloud access using IAM/SSO. Assist in managing hybrid networking (on-prem and different cloud platforms). Ensure security integration into all cloud architecture solutions. Intake and provide level 1 consultation with researchers, faculty, and staff to understand their needs and assist with implementation of basic cloud solutions. Assist with maintaining cloud Linux, Windows and container-based systems.
Develop understanding of Cloud Computing technologies and architectural best practices. Develop grasp of networking, security, and system administration concepts.
