Tommy’s Express Car Wash is looking for Team Members to drive results at our location in Waukee, IA as well as our Grimes, IA location. This is an important role for us as you will be responsible for delivering an excellent car wash experience to our guests.

Team Member Responsibilities

• Proper use of checklists to keep the wash functioning properly
• Resolve guest account issues by teaching them how to use the app or by making changes within our software
• Keep the site clean and free of trash
• Stop the wash when necessary to maintain guest and team safety
• Help guests load their car onto the conveyor belt

Team Member Requirements

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain focus and stay off your phone while working
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check
• Ability to be on your feet for your entire shift

Team Member Results

• Make sure their are zero accidents in the wash
• Guests become members and stay members because of your friendly service and our clean site

Team Member Pay

• Starting at $15/hour for full-time team members
• Starting at $12/hour for part-time team members
• Additional $2/hour on weekends
• Monthly team bonus based on TommyClub member growth

• 180 SE Alices Rd., Waukee, IA & 2480 E. 1st Street Grime, IA

Team Member Availability

• Shifts available: 7:00am-11:45am AND/OR 11:30am-4:15pm AND/OR 4:00pm-9:00pm
• full-time openings
• Shift preference goes to full-time team members
• Several part-time openings
• We have shifts available seven days/week
• Ideally you would stack two shifts i.e. work from 7:00am-4:15pm OR 11:30am-9:00pm
• No overtime requirement

Other Expectations

• We use WhatsApp - it’s our go to for communication
• We value speed in communication - either respond quickly or offer context in advance as to why you might respond slowly
• We make schedule changes in advance - unless there's a real emergency we need to know when you won’t make it to work at least two weeks in advance
• We value a consistent image - we all wear black dress pants, black non-slip shoes, a company polo shirt, a name tag, and a radio
