POSITION: VP of Supply Chain
STATUS: Exempt (salary)

DIRECT REPORTS: Director of Purchasing, Director of Logistics

Responsibilities:
The VP of Supply Chain reports to the CEO and oversees a diverse team handling all Supply Chain functions, including sourcing, purchasing, inventory optimization and S&OP, also inbound/outbound logistics through third parties. This individual will collaborate with key cross-functions to design and execute strategies fostering rapid and efficient growth.
More specifically, the VP of Supply Chain will:
- Further develop a robust sourcing function, guiding procurement professionals at each Alcom location to improve RFP/RFQ, negotiation, vendor selection, and performance processes.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on pricing and build strategic relations with suppliers.
- Ensure a cadence and accurate cycle counts are completed to ensure accurate inventory.
- Work closely with other relevant functions to identify and execute critical KPI’s, managing a continuous improvement process, e.g., Sales/Customer Service, Production, R&D, Finance
- Lead and manage logistics professionals to negotiate with, select, and manage key supply chain partners for both inbound and outbound logistics, including LTL, FTL, and intermodal freight carriers, as well as third-party distribution partners where applicable.
- Drive better utilization of current ERP and related tools to optimize business processes, including MRP, logistics management, and sourcing.
Qualifications:
- An individual who combines high-level thinking with the ability to be hands-on, including potentially covering the day-to-day activities of the teams at times.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant managerial experience in manufacturing
- A demonstrable record leading the transformation and growth of Supply Chain functions, notably process improvement projects requiring collaboration with other functional leaders.
- Proven experience managing and developing small teams by providing strategy and mentorship while supporting specific tasks and day-to-day issue resolution.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP and logistics management systems. Strong Excel skills and ability to articulate results and objectives to various stakeholders
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job operates in an office environment and is largely sedentary, although will require navigation of the Production floor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
