1. Position
  • Warehouse Attendant
  • FLSA Classification(s): Non-Exempt/Hourly

    2. Job Summary
  • The Warehouse Attendant is responsible for the ordering, receiving, and storing of incoming material or merchandise for the warehouse.

    3. Immediate Supervisor
  • This position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.

    4. Performance Standards
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all customers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Constantly representing of the company in a positive and professional manner regardless of customer requests, complaints, or demeanor.
  • Complying with policies and procedures.
  • Interacting with other employees, suppliers, and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Communicating work progress and significant issues to the immediate supervisor.

    5. Responsibilities
  • Handle and manage shipping of products.
  • Operate forklifts to handle products and warehouse materials.
  • Arrange and organize products and materials in a warehouse.
  • Prepare and verify shipment papers.
  • Organize transportation of materials to warehouse.
  • Maintain and manage inventories in warehouse.
  • Inspect and verify products, materials and equipment before storing in warehouse.
  • Execute loading and unloading operations.
  • Store unused raw materials in proper area when processes are complete
  • Ensure compliance of safety procedures and practices in warehouse operations.
  • Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description.

    6. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 0 to 3 years experience as Material Handler C or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read and understand the Work Instructions for the position held.
  • SAP experience is strongly preferred.

    7. Working Conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

    8. Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

    9. Training Requirements
  • Must be trained and licensed to operate forklift.
