Lake Orion Administration Building, Lake Orion: Mondays, 10AM - 2PM; Custodial Work

Greg Grant Sportsplex, Shelby Township: Thursdays, 12PM - 4PM; T-shirt press operator

Job Purpose

To mentor and support individuals in a positive, respectful manner while identifying strengths and opportunities of individuals to guide them in learning/completing job tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities
Accompany and support the program participant at their place of work

Assist individual on a one-to-one basis to ensure success in the workplace

Adhere to employer’s specific policies and procedures

Identify barriers to success on the job and provide solutions to those barriers

Reinforce positive social and life skills and encourage positive work behavior

Maintain a professional relationship and serve as liaison between employer, direct supervisor, and individual

Maintain daily logs and reports; prepare reports according to Dutton Farm policies and procedures

Monitor and maintain safety and well-being of individual at job site, reporting any concerns to Dutton Farm management immediately

Monitor and evaluate progress of individual toward goals to ensure success in the workplace

Qualifications

Mission aligned

Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

High school diploma required

Must be 18 years or older

Must pass background check

Basic computer skills

Must complete training within 30 days of employment

Commit to a particular schedule based on individual’s job schedule

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Maintain a professional demeanor with a focus on advocacy, respect, and demonstrating a strong work ethic

Must be self-motivated, reliable, and dependable

Strong ability to adapt and willingness to be flexible

Working Conditions

Casual business attire or workplace uniform with a focus on neat, appropriate clothing that is considered acceptable by the public.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50 lbs. This is a physically active position requiring walking, lifting, getting up and down etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.35 per hour
