Trinity Preschool of McLean is searching for part-time energetic and creative Preschool Teachers for the 2021-2022 school year. Teachers will plan and lead play-based and age-appropriate units of study for children ages 2 - 5. Lead teacher and assistant teacher openings are available. As a bilingual French/English preschool, we particularly seek candidates with fluent or conversational French abilities, though this is not a requirement for all positions.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaboration with Co-Teachers
• Nurture of a safe and positive classroom environment
• Record keeping of student work and progress
• Timely direct communication with parents through newsletters and conferences
• Organization of the classroom and supplies
• Attendance and participation in staff development, meetings, and trainings

Hours of this position are Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, with some extended hours once a month for staff development.

Qualifications include:

• Experience working in early childhood education
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Some experience with Conscious Discipline or Responsive Classroom techniques preferred
• (Lead Teacher only) A High School diploma with an AA in Early Childhood Education, or related field, Child Development Associate (CDA) (or at least 12 college credits or professional learning credits in Education); a Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Trinity Preschool is a small preschool in the heart of McLean, Virginia, serving children ages 2 – 5 years old in bilingual English/French classes. Teachers are encouraged to extend love and acceptance to all children by being faithful stewards of their education and development and celebrating their individual backgrounds.
