While our name may not be familiar to consumers, our products are key components of foods offered by many of the world’s best-known companies.The Production Team Leader is responsible for the supervision and coordination of production employees engaged in Batching/Oiling/Staging, Mixing and /or Packaging dry blend ingredients. This person is responsible for overall execution of shift goals including people in the assigned department area.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Organizes and coordinates the workflow between the Batching/Oiling/Staging, Mixing and or Packaging departments.
- Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work as well as appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees.
- Responsible for the execution of the production schedule for the assigned area that meets safety, quality, productivity, and delivery requirements.
- Prioritizes and assigns work to meet production schedules and commitments to customers.
- Effectively utilizes company and people resources to complete assigned work.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or coaches employees in solving work problems.
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve manufacturing and support processes, practices, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
- Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety and GMP regulations.
- Actively participates in the company continuous improvement programs (i.e. Kaizen Events, GGEMBA Walks, RCAs).
- Ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices and Audit requirements are met.
- Directly supervises approximately 15 company and temporary employees in the assigned area (i.e. Batching/Oiling/Staging, Mixing, Packaging). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Interviewing and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
