Key Accountabilities (results expected to achieve):
- Drive product assurance activities ensuring customer requirements are met
- Meet or exceed product disposition metric targets
- Ensure adherence to our internal corrective action processes
Key Responsibilities (tasks that you do to achieve the accountabilities):
- Manage the activities and workload of all in process inspectors which includes;
Empowering the team to stop when they find non-conforming parts
Ensuring non-conforming parts are communicated with production when found at the press
Optimizing the methods and efficiency of in process inspections
- Manage activities associated with ensuring control plans are meeting or exceeding our customer expectations
- Assist with managing the disposition items in the quality control hold locations
- Communicate and provide documentation for customers as needed to support all customer product deviations
- Assist in generating and submission of PPAP/FAIR packages
- Assist in managing, disputing, and generating all customer Returned Merchandise Authorizations
- Provide communication and technical support to the cross functional team internally as needed
- Statistical review of product data for issues, trends and improvements as needed
- Maintain a culture that recognizes employee contributions and encourages participation in improving the performance and success of the company
- Continuously looking for ways to improve the customer experience
- Travel as required to support and meet the needs of our customers
- Support implementation of initiatives to promote a safety culture to drive toward zero incidents including investigating, identifying, and implementing corrective actions for sources of OSHA recordable accidents, incidents and near hits
- Participate and lead corrective action meetings to determine root cause and corrective action plan
- Participate and lead FMEA meetings and generate FMEA’S in response to cross functional input
- Develop and update control plans in response to new product development activities or customer feedback
Qualities for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering
OR
- 7-10 years progressive job experience in Quality and in the plastic injection molding industry
- Experience and working knowledge in;
Ability to read prints
Root Cause Corrective Action methods
Microsoft Office Programs
Statistical Software
- Experience at implementing continuous improvement, lean or other process improvement techniques
- Self-motivated individual who can make decisions
- Experience with good manufacturing practices and quality initiatives/programs, specific to ISO standards
- Knowledgeable in ERP, MRP or other integrated scheduling computer systems
Physical & Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit (using a computer), reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand and walk. The employee might occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment:
This position may be required to conduct business on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.

Pay: $43.00 - $44.00 per hour
