Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Performs the trimming and cutting of raw meat product using a Whizard knife, butcher knife and meat hooks.

2. Removes raw meat product from cardboard boxes and removes the plastic bagging

3. Must be able to stand between 2 - 3 hours at a time

Must be willing to follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) of the company which include but are not limited to: use of a hair net, use of a company approved frock and rubber boots, no jewelry, no nail polish or artificial nails, no shorts, no open-toed shoes, no ripped clothing or rhinestones/glitter on clothing, no chewing gum, candy or tobacco

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to cold temperatures as low as 38 degrees Fahrenheit. The floors in the environment are often wet and can be slippery.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Frequent use/motion of hands, wrists and arms are required

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or bend.

This is a full-time position. 40+ hours per week. Hours of work: Monday through Friday, typical start time 7:00 am, finish time varies depending on workload. 10 - 12 hour work days are common. Weekends and overtime hours are often required.
